The Mitchelstown Co-operative Agricultural Society, Ltd., began in March, 1948, to enter British Friesian cows in the scheme for the registration of pure-bred dairy cattle. The intervening period is too short for any proper assessment of the results achieved. Three cows in the society's herd have so far been accepted for registration.
No other southern creamery has entered British Friesian cows in the scheme.
