The information asked for is not available in my Department.
From inquiries made I am informed that the price of collar shirting of a medium quality in February, 1948, was approximately 7/- a yard, and that the price to-day of a comparable quality ranges from 7/- to 8/- a yard. I must add, however, that the inquiries I have made have of necessity been very limited in scope, and I am, therefore, giving this information with considerable reserve.
