asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether, in view of the heavy volume of telephonic communication on the lines from Dublin to Balbriggan, Drogheda and Dundalk, he will arrange for the provision of additional telephone circuits on the Dublin-Belfast lines pending provision of an underground cable linking the two cities.

It is hoped to provide shortly two additional circuits between Dublin and Dundalk, one between Drogheda and Dublin and one between Drogheda and Dundalk. An additional circuit between Dublin and Balbriggan will be provided later this year.
