I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that a canvass of the Mulranny, County Mayo, area was commenced a few weeks ago but that it was not possible at this stage to say when it is likely to be completed.
I am also informed by the board that the question of supply to the Achill area is under consideration, but that the decision in this case will depend to some extent on whether it is decided to give supply to the Mulranny area. The board further state that it is intended to carry out a canvass of this area should the local inhabitants show sufficient interest in obtaining supply.
