Vol. 122 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Graveyard.

asked the Minister for Finance if the building of the protecting wall at the Abbey graveyard, Ballinskelligs, County Kerry, has yet begun and, if not, who or what is responsible for the delay.

The protective works at Ballinskelligs graveyard are to be carried out by the Kerry County Council. The council propose to raise their contribution towards the cost by means of a loan from the Local Loans Fund, and a mortgage deed in that connection was sent to them for execution on the 16th June, 1950.

Will the Parliamentary Secretary state if the Office of Public Works has allocated a grant for the carrying out of this scheme?

Yes, a grant not exceeding £3,200 is to be made from the Employment and Emergency Schemes Vote towards the cost.
