Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Passport to Russia.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if a passport was issued by his Department to the lady described in a Press report as a Dublin housewife and journalist who recently visited Russia.

A passport was issued to the lady in question in October, 1948, by the Embassy in London. In accordance with the usual practice, the passport was issued valid for five years. It was not valid for travel to the U.S.S.R or any country behind the Iron Curtain.
