asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that sites for cottages in Kenmare have now been voluntarily acquired, surveyed and accepted as suitable, that the erection of the cottages at the earliest possible date is a matter of extreme urgency, and if he will arrange to expedite all necessary arrangements for the carrying out of this housing scheme.

No proposals for the acquisition by agreement of sites for housing purposes in Kenmare have yet been submitted to my Department by the Kerry County Council. When the council's proposals are received they will be examined without delay.
