I understand that the bridges connecting Annaghvaan and Lettermore and Lettermore and Gorumna are dangerous and are subject to weight and speed restrictions. The replacement of these bridges is primarily a matter for the Galway County Council. I am informed that new bridges are being designed by the council's consulting engineer, but I am not in a position to say when the work is likely to be undertaken.
