Two applications were received in 1949 for the reimposition of the customs duty on iron gates. One application was not pursued and the second was refused. A further application is at present under examination by the Industrial Development Authority, and this examination is practically complete. An application has been received for the reimposition of the duty on horse-drawn and handdrawn rollers and has been refused.
