Vol. 123 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission are aware of the two parcels of land, one known as the Fair Green, Turloughmore, and the other at Derrymacloughlin, Close Estate, County Galway, which are owned by an individual and have been let in conacre grazing for very many years and if he will ascertain from the Land Commission whether an inspection of the lands will be carried out with a view to their acquisition for the relief of congestion in the locality.

This matter is being examined by the Land Commission.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he will state what progress has been made by the Land Commission, since 15th March last, regarding the allotment of the lands on the Blake estate, record No. S. 2593, County Galway, and when the Land Commission will have the scheme for sub-division ready.

It is expected that these lands will be allotted this year.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress, if any, has been made towards the acquisition of Kelly's lands at Cloonabricka, Churcher estate, County Galway.

The Deputy's question appears to refer to the holding of Patrick Lohan, which was formerly owned by Hugh Kelly, deceased. There are no proceedings for the acquisition of these lands.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he will state what progress has been made towards the acquisition of the lands at Crossursa and Ballycoogan, in the Walsh estate, record No. S. 9733, County Galway.

Proceedings were instituted for the acquisition of these lands. An objection by the owner was upheld by the Land Commission Court.
