Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tuberculosis Cases in Civil Service.

Mr. Brady

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the number of cases of tuberculosis which occurred per 1,000 members of staff in (a) the Civil Service as a whole, and (b) the Department of Health, during each of the years 1949 and 1950.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, will be circulated with the Official Report.

The statement is as follows:—

(a) This figure means that one officer out of a total staff of 177 was absent on account of tuberculosis.
