The estimated output of farmers' butter in each of the last ten years for which the information is available was:—
1940, 438,000 cwt.; 1941, 434,000 cwt.; 1942, 436,000 cwt.; 1943, 464,000 cwt.; 1944, 484,000 cwt.; 1945, 471,000 cwt.; 1946, 481,000 cwt.; 1947, 420,000 cwt.; 1948, 417,000 cwt.; and 1949, 396,000 cwt.
