Local authorities are responsible for selecting the works to be proposed for execution under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949. I understand that the local authority in this case intend to include in the lists of works to be proposed for execution in 1951-52 a scheme for the continuation or extension of work already carried out at Cromane with the aid of a grant under the Act. The lists have not yet been received in the Department.
