I am informed by Bord na Móna that it is not proposed to operate machines on any bogs in County Limerick this season.
In 1949 and 1950, the board planned to work bogs in the Dromreask, Keale and Cratlow districts of West Limerick, but in each year failed to procure the necessary labour and in 1950 had to suspend operations after four weeks because of the shortage of men.
