Vol. 125 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin-Howth Bus Services.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware of the necessity for a regular road passenger service on the Dublin (via Clontarf and Dollymount) Howth bus route; and, if so, whether he will recommend the provision of the service to Córas Iompair Éireann.

A service for the convenience of school children is provided over this route by the Great Northern Railway Company. I am informed both by that company and by Córas Iompair Éireann that no representations for an extension of the service have been made to them.

I would suggest to the Deputy that the request for additional omnibus services is one which should be addressed directly to the operators.
