The estimated numbers of cattle and calves exported in the form of processed meat of all descriptions in the years 1948, 1949 and 1950 were 41,000, 56,000 and 91,000 respectively. The corresponding numbers consumed at home in the same years were 279,000, 219,000 and 189,000. Both of the figures for 1950 are provisional.
