A compulsory purchase Order for the acquisition of a site for this health clinic was made by the local authority in October, 1950, and an Order confirming the compulsory purchase Order was requested. An objection to the Order was made on behalf of the occupier of the site in question making it necessary to hold a public inquiry. As a necessary preliminary to appointing an inspector to conduct this inquiry, the local authority were asked on 20th January last to forward certain documents in connection with the Order but these documents have not yet been received in my Department. When the question of acquisition of site has been disposed of, the local authority may undertake the erection of the clinic without further reference of documents to my Department.
Has the Minister made recent representations to the local authority to forward the information requested on the 20th January or will he be prepared to do that now?
