A committee is engaged in examining the question of company law reform. It is possible that a revision of company law would render desirable certain changes in the law relating to industrial and provident societies and friendly societies. Consideration of the matter generally must await the receipt and examination of the committee's report.
Has the Minister any idea when the committee will report?
I would not like to attempt a forecast.
Is there any possibility of getting an interim report?
It is hardly a subject that lends itself to that.
There are certain flagrant abuses that might be checked.
