As regards the figures for the years 1937 to 1950, both inclusive, I would refer the Deputy to the annual reports of the Electricity Supply Board for the years in question.
The number of units generated by the board in the year ended 31st March, 1951, was 968,825,000 and the number sold, 770,377,248. Of the total units generated, generating stations absorbed 4.4 per cent., high tension distribution losses, 9.2 per cent., and low tension distribution losses, 7.2 per cent.
