The whole objective of the economic and social policy of the Government and of the implementation of that policy through the various Departments of State concerned is to create such economic and social conditions in this country as will lead to the stopping of emigration.
Can the Tánaiste state whether any representations were made to the British Government recently consequent on the Taoiseach's statement in relation to the conditions of Irish workers in Birmingham with a view to having these conditions brought to an end, if they exist?
