asked the Minister for Local Government if he will represent to Dublin Corporation the desirability of housing needy families in the Cappagh, Finglas area in the corporation housing schemes now being built in that district.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing in Finglas and Cappagh.
The Dublin Corporation are obliged by law to let houses now being built by them in the Finglas area in accordance with the priorities prescribed by the Housing Acts and the regulations made thereunder. I understand that the Dublin County Council have discussed with the housing director the position of the families referred to in the Deputy's question and that, as the number of such families which would come within the statutory priorities for the corporation houses would be small, the county council have decided to formulate a scheme at Tolka, Finglas, to meet the needs of families in the area.
