Although the Land Commission have no liability for the protection of the lands of Pilmore they erected groynes to prevent erosion of the natural sand barrier on the foreshore. Proposals for the repair of the groynes have been sanctioned and if the occupiers of the benefiting lands co-operate, the work will be put in hands without delay.
