Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Abatement of Nuisance.

The following question appeared on the Order Paper in the name of

To ask the Minister for Local Government if he will take steps to compel the North Cork Board of Health to abate the nuisance caused by the existence of an open sewer at the rere of houses situate at Fermoy Road, Ballyhooly.

The provision of a sewerage scheme for Ballyhooly is under consideration by the sanitary authority. The plans and specification for the scheme have been generally approved subject to certain modifications and submission of amended documents and a bill of quantities is awaited.

The matter of the abatement of the nuisance referred to is being taken up with the sanitary authority.
