Vol. 127 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - South Kerry Schemes.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state (1) the amount of money allocated for minor relief schemes in South Kerry; (2) the sum set aside for road improvement; (3) the amount allocated for minor drainage schemes, and (4) when a start is to be made in the execution of these schemes.

Taking South Kerry as comprising the rural districts of Cahirciveen, Killarney and Kenmare, the sums allocated for minor employment schemes in the year 1951-52 to date are:—roads, £4,665; drains, nil. These figures do not include bog development schemes.

Some of the minor employment schemes have already been put in hands and every effort will be made to start the remainder as soon as possible.
