Vol. 128 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Selection of Health Inspector.

asked the Taoiseach if it is correct that the Local Appointments Commission received on 6th February, 1951, a statutory request from the Kildare County Council for the selection of a health inspector and if he will state the date on which such post was advertised and why no selection has yet been made.

As the Deputy was informed on the 4th July last in my reply to his question on the matter, the statutory request referred to was received by the Local Appointments Commissioners on the 6th February, 1951. The vacancy was advertised, together with 33 other vacancies for health inspectors, on the 17 July last, and the commissioners' recommendation of the candidate selected by them for the vacancy in Kildare was sent to the Kildare County Council on Saturday last, the 1st instant.
