Vol. 128 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fowl Export Permits.

Mr. Byrne

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will permit citizens of this country to send fowl or geese to their sons and daughters employed in Great Britain, in view of the fact that a large number of parents cannot afford the present price of turkeys.

Mr. Walsh

It would not now be feasible to make any change in the existing arrangements under which turkeys and geese may be sent as Christmas gifts by residents here to immediate relatives in Great Britain.
