asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that many householders in Achill, North Mayo, and adjoining areas have no turbary plots; and, if so, if he will take immediate steps to have the bogs in the possession of the Land Commission there allotted in time for the coming turf season.

I presume this question relates to the bog in Polranny and Cashel. This bog is not yet ready for allotment as development works such as roadmaking and drainage have to be carried out. It is hoped to put this matter in hands shortly. Meanwhile the needs of the householders in Achill will be considered when the developed portion of the bog is being let for the coming season.
