Vol. 129 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flooding in Counties Kildare and Meath.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that many acres of potentially arable land in Counties Kildare and Meath are at present flooded by the River Blackwater; and, if so, whether he will arrange to have the river surveyed under the land rehabilitation project or by the Office of Public Works as agent for the project.

Mr. Walsh

The answer to the first part of the question is yes. As regards the second part, I will have the question as to whether the Office of Public Works should be asked to undertake a survey of the river on an agency basis for my Department examined in due course.
