Vol. 130 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Meath Holding.

asked the Minister for Lands whether it has been decided to give the vacant holding on the McLaren estate, Julianstown, County Meath, to Mr. Robert McGrane, Julianstown, as indicated in his recent letter to Mr. McGrane, as compensation for the loss he suffered by the acquisition of the McGuinness estate.

Mr. Boland

My letter did not indicate that Mr. McGrane would be allotted a parcel on the McLaren or any other estate. Instead, it stated that his application for land had been noted by the Land Commission for any consideration possible in the event of land being acquired in his area. The Land Commission did not acquire the McGuinness estate, and they have not decided to give the vacant holding on the McLaren estate to Mr. McGrane.
