Vol. 130 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Abbeydorney Primary School.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that the school at Killahan, Abbeydorney, County Kerry, is in a deplorable condition; and, if so, if he will now state the reason for the delay in the erection of the proposed new school.

I am aware of the urgent need for the replacement of the present Killahan National School, Abbeydorney, County Kerry. A grant towards the cost of the erection of a new school was sanctioned recently by the Department.

I understand from the Commissioners of Public Works that they are having the preparation of working drawings and specification for the new school put in hands. When this work has been completed the commissioners will be in a position to advertise for tenders for the building of the school.
