Vol. 130 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Derreen River Drainage Scheme.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware of the urgent need for carrying out the drainage scheme from the Derreen River at Mr. Andrew Keating's bog at Ballard, Emlaghmore, leading to the main road at Mrs. Johanna Sullivan's house; and, if so, if he is now in a position to allocate a grant for this purpose.

I am not aware of any urgency in this matter, as the beneficiaries were invited in October, 1950, to submit the case for consideration under the rural improvements scheme, and they have not yet done so. If an application form is submitted under that scheme, the matter will receive due consideration.
