Vol. 131 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kildare Post and Telephone Facilities.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the urgent need for the provision of (a) a letter box, and (b) a public telephone at Moorefield Park, Droichead Nua, County Kildare, and whether he will take immediate steps to provide these facilities.

A letter box was erected in the vicinity of Moorefield Park last week.

There is already one telephone kiosk at Droichead Nua and a call office at the post office. The provision of additional public telephone facilities at Droichead Nua is not warranted at present.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange for the installation of a soundproof cabinet or other method of ensuring privacy for callers on the public telephone at Kildangan, County Kildare.

A silence cabinet will be provided at Kildangan Post Office as soon as circumstances permit.
