Council of Europe.

Tá orm a chur in iúl don Dáil go bhfuiltear tar éis na daoine seo leanas a roghnú mar Thoscairí agus Ionadaithe ó Éirinn don Cheathrú Seisiún de Chomhairle na hEorpa a thiocfas le chéile i Strasbourg an 26ú Bealtaine, 1952.

Toscairí: An Teachta Gearóid Ó Beoláin, Aire Dlí agus Cirt; Séamas Mac an Chrosáin; an Seanadóir Prionsias Ó Lachtnáin, agus an Teachta Liam de Nortún.

Ionadaithe: An Teachta Seán Ó Fionnáin, an Teachta Mícheál Frínseach Ó Cearbhaill; an Teachta Seán Ó Flannagáin, agus an Seanadóir Mícheál Ó hEachthigheirn.

I have to inform the Dáil that the following have been selected as delegates and substitutes from Ireland to the Fourth Session of the Council of Europe, which will meet at Strasbourg on 26th May. The delegates chosen are: Deputy Gerald Boland, Minister for Justice; James Crosbie, a former Senator; Senator Frank Loughman, and Deputy William Norton. The substitutes are: Deputy John Finan; Deputy Michael ffrench-O'Carroll; Deputy Seán Flanagan and Senator Michael Hearne.

Before we pass on to the next business, does the Dáil have to approve of the names that have just been mentioned?

I think it has been arranged between the Whips in the usual way. I do not think it is essential to seek the approval of the House. I think it is sufficient to announce the names as has been done on other occasions.
