asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state if his Department received preliminary documents with particulars of the estimated revenue to be provided from the proposed regional water scheme at Fenit, Tralee, from the Kerry County Council; and, if so, if he will indicate the date of receipt and the reason for delay in giving sanction.

The documents and particulars referred to in the Deputy's question were received in my Department on the 23rd February last. In view of the extent of the scheme and the high estimated cost detailed examination and local inspection were necessary. These have now been carried out and the official views on the proposals will issue in the near future.
