Arrangements are under discussion for the flotation of a national loan as soon as conditions appear favourable. It would be helpful in this connection if all Parties would agree to a temporary suspension of controversy on financial matters. May we get an assurance that the Minister for Finance will cease making speeches concerning the bankruptcy of this State? May we also get an assurance from him that he will ask his colleague, the Minister for Justice, to cease giving newspaper interviews in Strasbourg, to the effect that this State is on the verge of bankruptcy?
It would be better if Deputy MacBride's supporters down the country would interest themselves in a turf bank and not in the Central Bank.
