Vol. 132 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Telephone Facilities.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware of the great inconvenience caused to the residents of Kildinan, Cork, owing to the lack of telephonic facilities in the local sub-post office; and, if so, if he will issue instructions to have a telephone installed therein.

I am aware that Kildinan post office is not provided with a public telephone. It is one of a number of offices that remain to be dealt with under the rural call office programme, and in this connection I would refer the Deputy to my reply of 21st May, 1952, to a previous question by Deputy O'Donnell.
