Vol. 132 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Medical Officers' Functions.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state whether county medical officers have any supervisory or other functions or duties in relation to clerical staff in their offices engaged in the performance of duties relating to health services, the supervision and efficient operation of which are among the statutory responsibilities of the county medical officers to their health authorities; and, if so, if he will state the functions or duties.

The Minister for Local Government is the responsible Minister in regard to clerical staff employed by health authorities.

I understand that the Deputy has addressed a question in similar terms to the Minister for Local Government, and that that Minister will deal with the matter raised by the Deputy.
