As announced by me on the 5th May, on the occasion of the opening of the newly reconstructed Cork Post Office, it is intended to issue this year a special postage stamp—to be printed in the "Recess" process—commemorating the centenary of the death of Thomas Moore. Further details will be announced in due course by the Government Information Bureau.
May we take it that the stamp will issue before the centenary has passed?
I presume so.
It would be a "bacach" gesture to have it in 1953.
