No representations have been made to my Department as to the need for repairs to the slip mentioned by the Deputy.
Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that the Parliamentary Secretary to the Government, Deputy Lynch, called there recently and, I am reliably informed, assured the people of that area that an engineer would be sent down to have this question of Kilcummen Pier examined and that some action would be taken as a result of his recent visit there? Has the Parliamentary Secretary no information in connection with that so far?
I think the Deputy can rely on it that the Parliamentary Secretary to the Government had some basis for what he said in the matter.
