Vol. 134 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cahirciveen Roads Repair.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware of the necessity for repairing the accommodation road leading from the county council road at Renard, Cahirciveen, to the seashore, thus facilitating farmers in the haulage of sand and seaweed; and, if so, if he is now in a position to sanction the allocation of a grant for the carrying through of the scheme.

It is not possible to identify this proposal from the limited information furnished. If the Deputy will supply me with further details, such as the names and addresses of the users, or the name and address of at least one person who will point out the road in question, I shall have the proposal investigated and let him know the position.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware of the necessity for repairing the accommodation road from Laharn to the county council road at Camburrin, Cahiciveen, which would facilitate farmers supplying milk to the local creamery; and, if so, if he will sanction the allocation of a grant for the carrying through of the work at an early date.

The programme of minor employment schemes for the coming winter is at present being prepared, and the proposal referred to by the Deputy will receive sympathetic consideration in connection therewith.
