Vol. 136 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Radio Reception.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he has received complaints of bad reception and interference on their radios from listeners in Letterkenny, County Donegal; and, if so, if he proposes taking steps to eliminate the interference.

One or two isolated complaints were received over the past few years in regard to local interference with radio reception in Letterkenny and advice as to means of suppression was given to the owners of the offending apparatus by the Department's inspectors. A complaint has just been received from the Letterkenny Urban Council that there is serious interference with reception in the town at present and I am having the matter investigated as early as practicable.
