Vol. 136 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Housing.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the total number of houses built in (a) North Kerry and (b) Kerry as a whole by the Kerry County Council in each of the years 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951 and 1952, and the cost in each case; further, if he will state the numbers of these houses now occupied and also the amount contributed by the ratepayers towards the building of all these houses, and what amount in the £ increase in the rates the expenditure necessitated.

The numbers of houses completed by Kerry County Council in each of the years from 1948 to 1952, inclusive, were two, ten, 36, 27 and 46 respectively.

The other information requested by the Deputy is not available in my Department. I would suggest that he might address his inquiry to the offices of the Kerry County Council.
