Vol. 137 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Longford Bogs.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring the bogs on the James A. Maconchy estate (Record No. E.C. 1142), County Longford, for division and distribution; and, if so, with what result.

The bogs in question are the subject of a turbary trust scheme and the trustees are responsible for the management of the bogs on behalf of the beneficiaries. The Land Commission propose to review the position to ascertain if it would be desirable and feasible to have the trust revoked and the bogs allotted.
