asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware that as long ago as October last a school attendance officer was selected by the local school attendance committee for the Blackrock area of County Dublin; and, if so, if he will state why the appointment of the person so selected has not yet been sanctioned by him; and, further, if he is aware that the delay affects school attendance in the area and if he will arrange to sanction at once the appointment of the person so selected in the public interest.
