Vol. 137 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Post Office Facilities (Offaly).

Mr. O'Higgins

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether, in view of the erection and occupation of a number of new houses at Bracknagh, County Offaly, he will take immediate steps to open a sub-post office in the area and provide for the installation of a telephone.

Now that the number of houses completed and occupied at Bracknagh justifies the establishment of a sub-post office there, I have given instructions for its early provision.

A public telephone will be provided in the new post office under the call office programme for the year commencing 1st April, 1953.
