Vol. 138 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Reclamation Scheme Application.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the date on which an application was received for a grant under the land reclamation scheme from a person in Lurganboy, Donegal, the date on which the lands were inspected, and if and when it is proposed to give a decision on the application.

Mr. Walsh

I do not consider it desirable that details of individual applications under the land reclamation scheme should be made the subject of parliamentary discussion. I may say, however, that the person alluded to in the Deputy's question has submitted an application which will be dealt with as soon as practicable.

Is the Minister aware that this particular applicant has neighbours whose applications were received by the Department much later than his particular application?

Mr. Walsh

That is not quite true.

What exactly does the Minister mean by the word "quite"?

Mr. Walsh

In fact, it is not true.
