asked the Minister for Local Government if his Department received a cottage purchase scheme from the Kerry County Council for cottages erected within the past four years; and, if so, will he state the reason for delay in giving approval to the scheme.

The cottage purchase scheme submitted by the Kerry County Council relates to 52 cottages provided under the Labourers Acts in the years 1949 to 1951. It was submitted in its present form on the 2nd December last and after certain necessary correspondence was approved by me without any undue delay on the 27th March last.
