The official list of contractors for the current contract year contains the names of two Irish contractors for waterproof clothing. I have been satisfied from the tests made of the samples of materials submitted by these contractors that the clothing will be suitable for the protection of workers in inclement weather, but I am unable to institute any comparison with the products of outside firms until deliveries on foot of the contracts are made to local authorities and inspected in use in actual working conditions.
