I move amendment No. 1:—
Before Section 2 to insert a new section as follows:—
Where, in the case of the person who was Comptroller and Auditor-General on the 1st day of April, 1953, an award under the Superannuation Acts, 1834 to 1947, is granted by virtue of sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Comptroller and Auditor-General (Amendment) Act, 1944 (No. 19 of 1944), any computation for the purposes of the award shall, notwithstanding anything contained in those Acts, be upon the salary appointed by Section 1 of this Act.
This amendment will ensure that the increase which is now being grantedto the Comptroller and Auditor-General will count to him in full for pension purposes.
