Is the Minister satisfied, in view of the way in which the reports of the Central Bank have been attacked by the Government and the Opposition, that the directors are competent to carry out their statutory duties?

The practice, of course, is that the nominations of directors of all kinds come before the Government of the day, and, as the Deputy is well aware, most of these directors have been appointed and reappointed by the two Governments.

Is the Minister satisfied that the directors are competent and capable of carrying out their functions?

I am, of course.
